MCA5Tech is a modern intelligent system for monitoring the consumption of utilities, machines operation and industrial installations, which significantly reduces operating costs related to energy consumption.

The device enables simultaneous analysis of many types of utilities such as electricity, gas, water, heating or compressed air, providing detailed data in real time.

This compact, technologically advanced solution supports not only ongoing monitoring of consumption, but also its optimization, leading to real savings in operating costs.

This dashboard presents ordered power management system and mitigating momentary overshoots by analyzing 1-minute actual power and 15-minute forecasts.

The dashboard presents a detailed overview of energy consumption, average power, costs, and trend charts for an energy customer with a 10kW power order. The system uses a variable rate of PLN 0.55/kWh and a fixed rate of PLN 130/month.

This dashboard shows energy consumption by the minute and by the 15-minute period, taking into account exceedances of the contracted power, the tangent coefficient (φ), and power predictions. It covers a full 24-hour period (June 10, 2021).

This is a real-time energy visualization dashboard that presents the operating parameters of an electrical facility – a set of machines or a technological system. The dashboard is used for real-time analysis of load, power quality, and energy efficiency.

What can be a data source for MCA5tech?

The MCA5tech system can collect data from many sources, including:

  • various types of readers: beacon readers, RFID card readers, barcode readers, etc.

MCA analyzes data in real time, saving results in a local database. Available calculation functions include:

  • WINDOW_COUNTER – pulse counter in a time window (fixed or sliding)
  • WINDOW_MEAN – average in a time window (fixed or sliding)
  • WINDOW_MAX – determining the maximum in a time window (fixed or sliding)
  • WINDOW_MIN – determining the minimum in a time window (fixed or sliding)
  • WINDOW_SUM – summing values ​​in a time window (fixed or sliding)
  • SCALER – rescaling the read value ADD – summing the values ​​of several variables over a time interval TOTALIZER – total counter
  • POWER_GUARD – power guard (power consumption analysis over time)
Can I install the MCA5tech myself?

Yes. However, we recommend installation by qualified personnel. As part of our service, the MCA5tech device is installed on-site by our qualified team of specialists.

Can the MCA5Tech system be integrated with older meters?

Yes. The system supports a wide range of protocols (e.g., M-Bus, Modbus, pulses) and can be integrated with existing meters without the need to replace them.

Is the data collected by MCA5tech secure?

Yes. Data is recorded exclusively on the MCA5tech device. Data security can be enhanced by replicating it to a database on a designated server. MCA5tech does not require internet access to function properly.

Does the device require internet access?

No, the MCA5tech operates fully autonomously – without the need for internet access, server purchase/use, communication intermediaries, or intermediate recorders. Data is downloaded, analyzed, and stored directly on the device. The device is equipped with a convenient user interface for operation and presentation of results.

How does the Power Guardian function work in MCA5tech?

The Power Guardian analyzes current consumption of energy, gas, or other utilities and responds to exceeded thresholds. Users can view the Power Guardian’s operation and meter data via a web interface.

Two operating modes are available:

  1. Based on consumption information in the current measurement window from the billing meter. The power monitoring time window matches the one billed by the operator.
  2. Sliding mode – consumption monitoring in a configurable, moving window (e.g., every minute), regardless of the operator.

The length of the measurement window (consumption averaging time) is configurable.

The system enables automatic responses (e.g., load control) and data visualization in a browser interface.

Can a single MCA5tech device control power simultaneously at both the electricity and gas connections?

Yes. One device can work with multiple meters of different types, e.g., several electricity meters and several gas meters simultaneously.

How much measurement data can be stored in memory?

The amount of stored measurements depends on the number of connected meters from which data is collected and the recording frequency. For a single meter sampled every 10 seconds, the device will store measurements for a period exceeding approximately 12 years. Upon request, we can supply the device in configurations with increased memory and the ability to replicate data to external resources (customer servers).
