The device has been installed for:

Detection of power consumption anomalies
A central air conditioning management system with schedules, operating modes and temperature control has been launched in the facility. At the same time, users had the opportunity to make local changes to the room controllers, which in office conditions led to the activation of cooling and heating systems during periods when it was not required (at night, on weekends and holidays). Monitoring of the installation showed abnormal energy consumption in these ranges and indicated indoor units that turn on despite the current shutdowns. Once the adjustments were implemented, unnecessary electricity consumption and associated costs were eliminated.
Monitoring of reactive power compensator operation
A device for compensating (balancing) reactive power in the electrical network has been implemented in the facility. Due to the very high fees imposed by the distribution system operator, this installation is of strategic importance – it protects against energy consumption above the limits set in the contract. Currently, the penalty rate is 759,2900 net for 1 MVArh. To illustrate the scale: an object without a compensator generates about 15-17 MVArh per month.
The MCA5tech system, monitoring the operating status of the compensator and the ongoing analysis of consumption and quality parameters of the network, quickly detected irregularities. A visual inspection showed that the reason for the disconnection of the compensator was a failure of the fan in the cabinet, which led to overheating and automatic shutdown of the device. The issue was fixed within 3 hours of its occurrence.
Monitoring of the operation and production of electricity by photovoltaic installation
MCA5tech monitors the operation of the PV inverter – the range of operation of the device, the amount and quality of energy produced, the energy consumption in the facility and the volume fed into the grid. Within five months of the commissioning of the PV installation, significantly underproduction was recorded in periods when it should have been high. After reporting the irregularities, the technical services carried out a visual inspection and identified a serious malfunction: a short circuit in the AC circuits, which caused unstable operation of the installation.
