Main functions of the MCA5tech system in the field of monitoring of power installations
- Real-time monitoring
The device downloads data from meters, sub-meters and analyzers of electricity, from drives/inverters and machine controllers, from switchgears (currents from transformers, phase voltages, states of circuit breakers). The data is collected locally in the facility’s network and stored in the device’s memory, and then presented in a “live” view. - Load and Loss Profile
By combining the current and voltage waveforms of the drives with information about the operation of the process (e.g. mode, cycle, change), it is possible to analyze the actual load profile over time, indicate operation outside the planned cycle, idle operation and places where drives e.g. pumps/compressors operate inefficiently. - Operational Deviations and Anomalies
A comparison of trends between zones and changes reveals excessive consumption at night, power consumption at standstill, and power instability in current and voltage waveforms. Power peaks and their occurrence time are also visible. The system can mark such situations in the history and in the current view so that you can react quickly. - Secondary metering and cost allocation
Consumption from submeters and metering points can be assigned to transformers, zones, floors, lines, or tenants. Thanks to this, the share of individual areas in the overall balance sheet can be seen, it is easy to detect disproportionate burdens and internal settlements are controlled on an ongoing basis. - Integration with higher-level systems
The device can work with the BMS: in the edge computing model, completing data collection and basic analysis needed for rapid responses, and in the master system, a multi-object view, broader reports and cross-sectional analyses (on-premises or in the cloud) are available.
