DetEp Platform

A system for epidemiological risk analysis in buildings

DeTeP is an intelligent system for epidemiological risk and environmental condition analysis in buildings. It continuously monitors, analyzes, and responds in real time to factors that may affect the health and comfort of occupants.

Through advanced algorithms and integration with building infrastructure, DeTeP helps maintain optimal working conditions, prevent the spread of diseases, and improve space utilization efficiency.

The system supports the creation of safe, healthy, and responsible working environments, contributing to the sustainable development and CSR strategies of companies and institutions.

What is the DetEp System?

The DeTeP System is an innovative PropTech solution that combines advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, and measurement infrastructure to assess epidemiological risk in non-residential buildings.

It functions as an environmental data hub — collecting information from sensors measuring temperature, humidity, air flow, air quality, sound intensity, occupancy levels, physiological activities (e.g., coughing, sneezing), and HVAC systems.

The collected data is processed either in the cloud or locally and then analyzed by proprietary algorithms that calculate an epidemiological risk index for individual rooms.

How Does the DetEp System Work?

Data Collection

At the core of the system are specialized measurement nodes that combine modern environmental sensors with microcontrollers. These intelligent devices can precisely monitor a wide range of parameters such as temperature, humidity, air pollution, gas concentrations, cough events, and many others.

Data Analysis and Interpretation

The collected data is sent to a central database, where it is processed by artificial intelligence algorithms.
The system identifies trends, deviations, and potential environmental anomalies, allowing it to predict increases in epidemiological risk as well as track long-term trends and detect potential threats at an early stage.

Visualization and Reporting

Administrators and users have access to an intuitive dashboard with dynamic visualizations. The system automatically sends critical notifications when predefined risk thresholds are exceeded.
Data is presented in the form of charts, heat maps, and risk indicators for individual building zones.

Automatic Response

When alarm thresholds are exceeded, the system:

  • Sends alerts via SMS, email, or mobile app
  • Activates an audible alarm in the affected area
  • Can automatically adjust HVAC system parameters (temperature, airflow, filtration)
  • Recommends preventive actions such as disinfection, ventilation schedule adjustments, or limiting the number of occupant

Range of Analyzed Parameters

The DetEp System analyzes dozens of indicators to provide a complete picture of indoor environmental quality.

Air Parameters
  • Air temperature, thermocouple readings, and temperature differentials,
  • Relative humidity, dew point, and wet-bulb temperature,
  • Concentrations of CO, CO₂, and particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10).
Comfort Parameters
  • Lighting intensity, sound levels, body temperature of occupants, and occupancy count,
  • Coughing and sneezing events.
System Parameters
  • HVAC system performance, NO/NC input/output states, thermographic data,
  • Airflow velocity and volumetric flow rate (m³/h).

Communication and Integrations

The DetEp System supports a wide range of communication protocols, enabling easy integration with existing building infrastructure.

Wireless communication
Wi-Fi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, LoRa, GSM/4G
Wired communication
Ethernet (TCP/IP), RS-485, Modbus, CAN, I²C, SPI
Data transmission protocols
MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, CoAP

Thanks to its open architecture, the system can integrate with external Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and facility management applications.

THE MICROCLIMATE MATTERS

The quality of the indoor microclimate is crucial for maintaining health, well-being, and overall productivity of people using the space.

By implementing the DeTeP system, organizations actively support sustainable development goals and their own Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies.

Benefits of Implementing the DetEp System

Continuous monitoring of environmental quality and safety protocols.
Optimization of all aspects of Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ).
Rapid incident response — reducing the risk of illness and absenteeism.
Access to environmental data that supports strategic decision-making.
Optimization of HVAC and energy system operating costs.
Compliance with ESG requirements and building certification standards (BREEAM, WELL), as well as CSR strategies.

Benefits for Building Occupants

Improved air quality
and working comfort
Reduced symptoms of fatigue,
headaches, and respiratory issues
Greater sense of safety
and trust in the workplace

Each facility can be equipped with a scalable system tailored to the number of rooms, type of installation, and level of epidemiological risk.
